Thanks to Joan Shedd, an ALW member we can exhibit
at Ameriprise, a financial services company at 18001 N. 79th Ave., Bldg.
C, SuiteC63 and C64. They are housed in office buildings located behind Arrowhead
Mall. Business hours will be 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.
Wall space is available to hold 30 to 40 paintings, photography (including
digital art), and sculpture. Suggested subject matter is western, southwestern,
landscapes, and still lifes. The art will be changed out every two to three
months with the supervision of ALW members Carol Burford and Donna Heslip.
Sales of paintings would be conducted directly between the artist and the
buyer with no percentage going to Ameriprise. ALW receives a 5% commission.
This opportunity is similar to the West Valley Chamber of Commerce revolving exhibit, but allow more artists to participate at any one time. ALW will provide the standard Hold Harmless and Inventory forms to be completed by each artist. Paintings must be equipped with wire rather than saw tooth hangers. Uniform labels will be displayed to provide information about the painting and artist contact information.
To help us estimate artist participation, please reply to Donna with
the number of paintings you would like to bring.

An Affair With The Arts is an biannual outdoor arts festival held at the West
Valley Art Museum the second weekend of March and November each year. This
festive event showcases juried fine artists working in various mediums from
brilliant oils to glorious glass. Live music and great food romance both the
ear and palate. A fine art silent auction furthers the up-beat atmosphere.
Indoors one discovers exciting and powerful exhibitions the Museum has become
known for. This is a fun time where you can abandon your inhibitions and have
An Affair With The Arts.
These show include skilled artists from Arizona and surrounding states that
are showing and selling their work around the Museum for two fun-filled days.
Every year art lovers and collectors return to see newly created artistic works
by prominent and emerging artists. Traditional and innovative materials and
styles are showcased including sculptural works in clay, glass, metal, wood,
marble, and found objects. Other fine art mediums will include oil, watercolor,
acrylics, photography, and glass mosaic. The art ranges in size from the perfect
fit for a wall, desk, or shelf to monumental sized pieces. Proceeds earned
by the Museum during the event help continue the outstanding educational
and cultural opportunities it offers the community.
